I was never interested in Peru or the Amazons. That changed after watching Netflix’s Chef table. Chef Virgilio Martinez’s creation, his exploration of using Amazonian ingredients stirred a desire in me to just book a plane and make a table reservation at his restaurant The Central.

A mail pop up in my e-mail a few weeks after I made my wish. I made my reservations and looked forward to the special moment when I get to experience Virgilio’s creation.
